Hello, I’m Craig. I have been an investor for over twenty years. My career has spanned two continents and many aspects of the capital markets, particularly investment management. From derivatives research for Merrill Lynch and HSBC in Hong Kong to developing market neutral strategies for Husic Capital Management and Mellon Transition Management in San Francisco, I have always kept a focus on sustainable investments and alternative energy.
When life took me back to New York, my hometown, I joined Deutsche Asset Management as head of derivatives trading and strategy for the active equities division, and later as head of quantitative trading at Lehman Brothers Asset Management. After returning to the West Coast, I joined BlackRock as a director in its Global Client Services business where I helped raise and deploy US$10bn and US$5bn for its infrastructure debt business. In 2019, I began my own consulting firm where I advised sustainable and clean technology investment businesses on fostering partnerships between industrial producers and institutional investors. In 2022 I joined SMBC where I now work on emerging sustainability businesses. I have a bachelors degree from Franklin & Marshall College.
I am a sailor, a cyclist, a snowboarder, a husband, and a father. I can’t imagine my life anywhere not near an ocean, and I feel very blessed to California home. I never involve myself in a project without believing in it, and I always give 110%. I am passionate about financial markets and solving climate change, and about the opportunity both provide for our futures. I am never afraid to ask questions, and I always want to learn more. I am someone who wants to leave the world a better place for my daughter.
